Voyager's Mess Hall
Whenever you are hungry you can always rely on something
strange to be cooking in the mess hall. Once Voyager
was left stranded in the Delta Quadrant, it was clear they
needed to save energy and cutting back on food generated by
the replicators was a good start.
And luckily Neelix
considered himself quite a cook, and took it upon himself
to be head chef when he came aboard. He continued in this
role right up until he left.
The Mess Hall is more than just a dining hall aboard Voyager
though. It is used as a central point for most of the social
events, used more often then the bridge and the holodecks.
One wonders why really.
