Chakotay
Originally commanding the Maquis ship which was destroyed
when they first arrived in the Delta quadrant, Chakotay is
now Captain Janeway's first officer.
He shows interest in Janeway when the two are stranded in
a planet although aboard Voyager their relationship is stricty
professional.
He is never affraid to stand up to Janeway and tell her when
she is wrong, a characteristic which she admires in her crew.
